New District Superintendent

The Prairie District Board is thrilled to announce that Tim Stewart is the new superintendent for Saskatchewan and Southern Alberta.

Sixty-five delegates from across the district (representing 21 of our 33 churches) gathered over ZOOM on March 11 for a Special General Meeting to overwhelmingly affirm Tim Stewart as the eighth superintendent of the Prairie District since 1955!

Tim and his wife, Emily, and their three children live in Victoria BC, where Tim has been the pastor of Parkdale EFC for the past 10 years. He will officially begin his new role with the district on July 6, with plans to move the family to Alberta over the summer.

Tim earned a D.Min. from Trinity Western Seminary in 2025. He is a natural encourager and mentor who builds trust across diverse communities and is patient and present in conflict situations. He is strong in long-term planning and problem-solving and enjoys collaborative environments and empowering others.

In his free time, Tim enjoys sports, games, hiking and camping with family, as well as gardening, kayaking, biking and guitar.

An installation service for Tim will take place at the Prairie District Conference in Osler, SK on October 16-17, 2026.
